The Process Is...
First and foremost the Collegiate Blueprint process is a collaboration: our expertise and knowledge bank paired with your skillset and interests.
Eye-Opening
You will learn so much about yourself — skills, interests, you’ll even get a word bank to help you describe yourself to potential employers.
Confidence-Building
Information is power. By the end of the process, you will have decided the next step in your career and you will have the self-knowledge that breeds confidence.
Get Started with a Consultation
Our consultation will allow us the chance to get to know you and start laying the groundwork for the collaborative effort of our process. It is also a time for you to ask questions! After this first meeting, we will get together regularly whether it be to complete assessments, set up your online college match portal, or just talk through your impressions of different colleges and universities.
Onboarding & Goal Setting
Take our assessment that gives us usable information about you: your skills, your personality, your interests. We'll learn about your underlying, innate abilities that make you who you are and predispose you to be successful at a variety of careers. You'll get real metrics showing career matches and usable language for interviews and resumes.
Select The Right Schools
We develop and populate the Online Research Portal for you to explore various “Best Fit” options and compare your data with a school's optimal candidates. The portal also reveals the likelihood of acceptance and financial aid. As we move forward in the process we are constantly curating this “Best Fit” list.
Deciding What You Can Afford & The Role Financial Aid Might Play
Finances can play a role in deciding what schools are within reach. A desire for value is also a common factor. Schools offer varied amounts of need-based and merit-based aid. We take into account your financial situation, goals, and the student’s metrics to find colleges most likely to provide the right blend of aid.
Essay Feedback & Applications
Once you find a group of schools you’re excited about, it’s time to make sure they want you, too! A former nine-year Duke admissions counselor will review your essay/s and provide feedback as you hone them. We also help you account for other elements of applying to college from The Common App to financial aid opportunities & deadlines.
Eureka, you found it!
There isn’t one perfect school, but many good matches. Once the results of your hard work come in, we are here to help you determine your best fit. We will also help you navigate and interpret aid letters, so you can be confident in your understanding of how much things will cost for each year of college.
